What a busy month April has been. Truly... never a dull moment!
Our "Open House Luncheon" made for a nice time on Thursday, April
8. It was so wonderful to see all of the parents taking time out for their
children for this special event. It was especially sweet to see how proud the
children were of their accomplishments and their time at Meadow Park while they
were showing their families around the Center to inspect all of their art
projects, etc.... I am proud to say we served well over 100 people.
"Family Fun Night" at Graham Arena on Tuesday, April 27, was a
great success. The children that visited our booth had a great time dumping,
pouring, and measuring rice and coffee sand in the sensory tables.
The teachers are busy completing conference forms on all the children for
Parent-Teacher conferences, held from April 26 through May 7. We usually have
nearly 100% participation.
Planning for our summer "Kid Ventures" program is coming along. We
have planned a summer filled with new and exciting activities.
Now, with the end of the school year approaching, we will be saying some sad
good-byes to some of our families. It is amazing how "mature" they
become after they enter the first grade and also pursue their "bigger
people" endeavors!
As we look forward to a summer full of activities, may we have a colorful,
flowering May! Happy Mother’s Day!

Who Are We
Meadow Park Day Care Center is a non-profit corporation supervised by a Board of
Directors consisting of church members, community members and day card parents.
Meadow Park Day Care Center was organized in 1969 with the following
goals:
- To provide a service to families in the community in need of child care.
- To provide a safe, loving, caring environment for children in a Christian atmosphere.
- To provide a variety of learning experiences to stimulate the physical, intellectual,
social and emotional development of each child.
The Minnesota Department of Human Services licenses this center for thirty-nine
children on site at a given time, ages 33 months through school-age.
Meadow Park Day Care Center is open from 6:45 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday - Friday, 12 months
a year.
Our educational plan is as follows: Meadow Park Day Care Center is a Christian
child care center dedicated to teaching basic Christian principles as an integral part of
the total daily program. No church doctrine is taught and children of all faiths are
welcome to attend.
We feel that a child's work is play. So that each child in attendance can develop
to his or her fullest, our Child Care Program Plan is as follows:
- To promote physical development through the use of a variety of large and small muscle
activities and equipment for indoors and outdoors.
- To provide a program which stimulates the development of intellectual skills through
exploration, dramatic play, construction, art and music and a large variety of cognitive
activities.
- To provide a supportive social and emotional climate through the use of self-awareness
experiences and self-directed activities which promote interaction with peers, positive
reinforcement and ample opportunities for success.
- To promote good health through the guiding and encouraging of good eating habits and
personal health awareness.
